to Southtown Snaps. Anthony was born and raised in San Antonio and enjoys traveling the world with his partner Wendy and spending quality time fishing with his son Gabriel. He has always had a passion for art, which started with illustrations as a kid, paintings as an adult, and now photography from traveling the world.
“I figured if I'm going to travel thousands of miles and see something spectacular only once in my lifetime, I might as well SNAP it.”
Anthony likes shooting at three different times during the day.
EARLY MORNING - About an hour before sunrise, he gets up to get some of his best SNAPS. While the vast majority of people are still sleeping, this time of day provides a great opportunity to photograph with empty streets and without human disruption.
NIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY - He loves the long exposure of cars zooming by, and city nightlife waking up. The thrill of being in a sketchy alley, with street lights illuminating the graffiti on adjacent walls. Being alone in complete darkness to observe nature’s beauties, like a once-in-a-lifetime comet appearing above the horizon. Or the first golden sparkle appearing on a distant wave from the sunrise.
GOLDEN/BLUE HOURS - Capturing landscapes when the day allows roughly 15 minutes to SNAP an image is a good opportunity that you couldn't catch at any other time of the day.
Anthony also has experience in drone photography and product photography.
